Wax Tailor is with no doubt an ace of turntables. Hope & Sorrow is an exhibition of his sample-skills fulfilled by thick beats and marking melodies that appealed instantly to me.
This is clearly hip-hop-driven, I’ve skipped some rap tracks like The Games We Play (but even Positively Inclined has its charm).
So the overall is amazing. No much people can make me enjoy this high level of hip-hop.

Superb album by the american duo. Hip hop with no rap? Soul?
Nice vintage sounds crossing trip hop fields plus a real singer and you can’t go wrong.
The Odd Couple don’t let things down in any moment. Vibrant and passionate music from the very beginning to the very ending.

Some people will probably compare them to the Outkast‘s pop-oriented side, because of the Cee-lo‘s vocals. But I say with no doubt, Gnarls Barkley is real, in-depth music.

Butter 08 - Butter 08

I think everything Miho Hatori and Yuka Honha  take part is effing great.

Butter 08 is a side project that was born when Cibo Matto was recording the song Know your Chicken (at least it’s what the rumours say).

Butter 08 is a supercool mix of rock and hip hop, but in a more agressive manner than Cibo Matto.

Cibo Matto - Pom Pom: The Essential Cibo Matto

Pom Pom: The Essential Cibo Matto as its name says is a collection of the finest Cibo Matto.

In spite of the “USA-located japanese duo” have had a short portfolio (2 full length albums and 2 EPs) their music was a major impact to alternative pop.
And it’s hard to listen to this collection and think that its songs were originally released in the 90’s. They’re genius.

If you like Pop, Rock, Electronic, Hip Hop, Bossa Nova, you need to get this thing.

São Paulo Underground - Sauna: Um, Dois, Três

Once upon a time, the cornetist Rob Mazurek had the idea of coming to Brazil and making some musical partnershis.
The result is São Paulo Underground, with the album Sauna: Um, Dois, Três.

An exciting mix of experimental noise, jazz and a pinch of hip hop.

I just don’t like the hip hop sections, the rest is bliss!

Junior Senior - D-D-Don’t Stop the Beat

Firts studio album by the danish duo.
This is a controversial album. It has awesome disco rock hits and at the same time very boring songs.

The obvious hits are Move your Feet and Rythm Bandits.

Yesterday’s New Quintet - Angles Without Edges

Yesterday’s New Quintet is a jazz/instrumental hip hop side-project by the famous hip hop artist Madlib.
There are 19 tracks, and they’re mostly in chillout mood. So it’s cool as a realxing album.

The music varies from chillout jazz to dub, breakbeat, soft hip hop and even some flirts with samba/bossa nova.

A very good kind of music not so easy to find.
