Frakkur is the name for this Sigur Rós’ leader solo release.
Songs for the Little Boy sounds nothing like Jónsi‘s band. It’s electronic ambient, reminds me of Múm.

Widow City is a rough collection of rythms and unfinished melodies that could have been great songs.
That’s why I didn’t like it immediately, after some plays it started going smoothly through my ears.

I’ve heard a few songs by DCFC before checking this album. Everything I’ve listened to haven’t appealed to me.
But Narrow Stairs appeared as a new chance when a friend of mine said it’s louder than its two predecessors.

In fact this album is far more interesting than any Death Cab for Cutie stuff I’ve tried before.
I will Possess your Heart is a hell of a psychedelic shot. WTF? is this DCFC??
I’ve checked my player twice.

Unfortunately it’s the highest score in my opinion, but the rest of the album is fairly good and deserves some attention.
For a 2008 alternative rock album it’s fine.

Hissing Fauna… is the first album I’ve heard by Of Montreal.
This surprised me at first because of the free flowing vocals and melodies, but took me a while to get into it.
Kevin Barnes doesn’t seem to have musical barriers, he easily go crazy into a frentic synthpop tantrum embracing almost every imaginable rythm combination.
My favourite tracks are Cato as a Pun, Gronlandic Edit andFaberge falls For Shuggie.

Not the hype nor the popular success of MGMT made me like Oracular Spectacular.
I think it’s a personal issue. I particularly don’t like some vocals or synths or melodies.
Electric Feel is a good hit, though.

Heavy and tense experimentalism. Einstürzende Neubauten is one of the most successful avant-garde acts ever.
The Jewels is one more mastepiece of psychotic rythms produced by all kinds of sources, and the harsh voice of Blixa Bargeld.
Very nice.
